Given this, two key members of any lubrication monitoring team are the Champion and the Mentor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Champion<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The lubrication monitoring team is usually led by a <a href=\"https:\/\/testoil.com\/program-management\/what-makes-for-an-effective-lubrication-program\/\">Champion<\/a> who is often a maintenance supervisor or employer. It is the Champion\u2019s job to show the staff what to do and how to do it\u2014providing motivation as well as encouragement. It\u2019s best if the Champion has some authority to get past barriers and bring others on board. The Champion should also have a strong, collaborative relationship with counterparts in other departments. For example, the maintenance staff may need to work with pipefitters to accomplish goals and corrective actions.<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Mentor<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Having a mentor on the team is a best practice.
